St. Thomas University (of Minnesota) graduate addresses class of 2006, and preaches the Gospel to them.

For his pains, he is booed, catcalled, people walk out on his address, and the president of the (CINO) University criticizes him for daring. . .

“to use commencement to express his opinions.”

If I were ever to be in his position, would that I have the courage to do the same as him.

He may certainly take heart. A certain preacher with the apparent gift of prophecy was heaved out of his own hometown of Nazareth when he had the temerity to preach the truth to the people with whom he grew up.

lol, to use commencement to express his opinions…

Has there been a commencement speaker in the history of mankind who hasn’t done that?

So the university has a religious name and clearly a religious founding, and they get mad that he spoke on a religious theme? I’m extremely confused at the moment.

CINO=Christian In Name Only I’m guessing?

If so you would’ve had a field day with my University’s ‘Catholic’ priest. Who was a lesbian who supported abortion. I know this because while we were holding a pro-life demonstration, she was a ringleader in a pro-choice counter demonstration across the quad from us.

CINO = Catholic in name only.

Ho ho. I can’t say I’m the least surprised by yoru university’s “Catholic” priest, tho’ I am confused how a lesbian could ever consider herself a priest.

if I told you where I went you’d understand exactly how a lesbian could call herself a priest.

This was a place that had a dorm that white kids weren’t allowed in, so that black people could live away from the scary pale devils, in the interest of diversity. At the same time, they refused to acknowledge that my mother tongue is indeed a language, which somehow didn’t hurt campus diversity. *shrug*

Where on EARTH did you go to school?

Cornell, one of the nation’s ‘elite’, where else?

Ah, Ivy League. I ought to have guessed.

Yeah demolition as if you would have known that or even seen the inside of such a place. But of course you think your dogmas correct don’t you.

Don’t bother with evidence and such.

‘A certain preacher with the apparent gift of prophecy was heaved out of his own hometown of Nazareth when he had the temerity to preach the truth to the people with whom he grew up.’

And such a message from him has been perverted beyond recognition by the dogma you now embrace.
