Mary Cheney, Class Act June 13, 2006Posted by Administrator in MSM, Politics.
Quite seriously. I listened to an interview with her on WHYY's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.(an aside: I am no fan of Terry Gross. I find her politics rather transparent, and she has the unfortunate habit of stammering when reaching for an interview question. Make no mistake, on-air interviewing is not the easiest thing in the world, and I would stammer in a similar situation. But I am not in radio, partially for that very reason. Back to the post)
In this interview, Cheney is discussing her recently published memoir, Now It's My Turn.
And she is class act, through and through, issues of personal sexuality notwithstanding. I expect KosKids -and Terry Gross herself- had to hold their heads together to keep them from exploding as this admitted lesbian also admitted that she feels Bush is the best possible leader for the US, and she excoriated both Kerry and Edwards for attempting to score "cheap political points" off of her orientation during the 2004 campaign.
Check out the link right away, as I am unsure how long NPR links remain active.
