Kos dishes it out, but can’t take it. . . August 11, 2006Posted by Administrator in Cultural Pessimism, Liberal Hypocrisy.
Seems that Cal Thomas is taking -among others- Kos to task for allowing the Democratic Party to get consumed by its “Taliban wing”. And Kos’s vacation replacement, Hunter, is all in a snit -though he contradicts himself all over the place,
Let me be clear here: I don’t particularly give two bits about Cal Thomas. He was a s***-for-brains hack the day he first put pen to paper, and got worse from there.
Really? Then why devote so much space to the column’s destruction?-
Anyway -having left that paragraph in a complete shambles- Hunter feels that the WaTimes editors are being a wee bit irresponsible in allowing Thomas to publish this.
To the editors that read, accept, and publish this crap: you are responsible for it. You need to decide whether you support this speech or not. And I think it’s long past time we start identifying the newspapers that think comparing a political party directly to a terrorist movement using an entire column of hate speech is acceptable practices for their editorial contributors. Ann Coulter has gotten fired for a heck of a lot less.
Hunter finishes in the usual, recent Loony Lefty mode of suppressing free speech and freedom of the press:
If your local paper publishes Cal Thomas’ syndicated column, contact the editors and ask them whether they support Cal Thomas’ remarks, and whether or not they feel it is speech that should be given play in their newspaper. I’ll be more than happy to publish the responses of individual editors, so make sure you let them know that their words will be made very, very public.
But here’s the best part. Get on Kos and search “Taliban.” And what do you find going back three years? FIRST post?

Last night I wrote “How the Islamic crazies are like the Right” to hammer home how fundamentalist Islam has more in common with the radical religious right, the American Taliban, than it does with the American Left.
Seems that over at Kos, only the Kossacks themselves may use the term “taliban” in attacking radical fringes of American politics.
Plus ca change, plus c’e la meme chose.
