King Felix returns. . . May 15, 2007

.  .and the M’s drop an 11-3 bomb on the Anaheim Angels, cutting the Angel’s lead in the West to 1 game over the Mariners.

Hernandez only lasted 3.2 innings, throwing a carefully monitored 78 pitches, 7 hits and 3 earned runs.  Sean White relieved for for 4.1 innings to earn the win.  Offensively, Ichiro went 5-5 with one RBI.  Hargrove is apparently certain to bring Felix back slowly, betting on a slowly increasing workload paying dividends of increased wins later in the season.

With King Felix back, the Mariners’ hopes of remaining in contention for the AL West look quite a bit brighter.
